I think if you wanna get some excitement in your life, you ought to become a leader. How do you influence others? How do you make a difference in their life and the organizations that you are gonna lead? So not everyone is a born leader, they need a little help along the way. What are some of the big mistakes that people make when they are in leadership responsibilities whether be, you know, in the workplace or perhaps even at home they think they've got it down, some of because they are the designated leader. Well, I think the biggest mistake er, is they don't reali, realize that there's two parts of leadership. One is the visionary direction part, which is where we're going, you know, what are the goals? What we are trying to accomplish? And the leaders got to take a major role in setting those. And once the goals are clear now the second part of leadership is how do we get there. That's when you have to philosophically go to the bottom in the pyramid, and become the coach, cheerleader, supporter of people as they are the ones that are gonna be accomplishing the goals, so we teach people about vision and direction and implementation. So say you want to be a leader in the form of your own small business and everywhere you turn these days, mom-and-pop businesses are being gobbled up by the big conglomerates, so what's your outlook on those who want to be that entrepreneur, someone who wants to lead and organize their own business? Well, I think first of all you have to find something that you love to do, that you have energy with because then you'll take the time to be the best. And then you have to find out, OK, how can I make a business out of that? You know, "do I wanna be a coach?" er, "do I wanna be a teacher?" er, "do I have a product that I think people might be interested in?" So find something you are passionate about and then of course the big issues in running a business and not getting gobbled up is you need good finances and so you need to have some people that'll help you get off the ground and then you got to know more about managing and leading people. All right, and say you are someone who is just now entering the workforce. Yes, you are excited and passionate about what you've chosen to do but somehow you gotta keep the momentum going. You get it into the job place or the job market and then you know suddenly you kinda disillusion that wow, this's a little bit harder than I thought. How do you maintain that kind of excitement so that you can excel?Well, I think the best advice I've ever given to people is when you go to a job, find a mentor, find somebody who's older than you that has some experience than you and ask them if they would be your mentor. Because a lot of times we get a job and it's more difficult than we thought and we don't know where to turn and so a lot of companies don't set that up, so set it up for your, yourself.1. mom-and-pop:being or relating to a small owner-operated business 2. mentor:n.A wise and trusted counselor or teacher200810/52998盐城/协和妇科医院无痛人流怎么样好不好 More than 240 transnational corporations were surveyed for this report. "A second is an increase in financial instability and a third, which is very interesting, is the rise of protectionism involving a change in foreign investment regime." Zhan says protectionism is not a big deal at the moment. But, he says the TNC's concerns about the risk of protectionism in foreign investments is not ungrounded. The economic stimulus packages could give rise to what can be labeled as smart protectionism," said Zhan. "Furthermore, a new wave of economic nationalism could occur in the aftermath of the crisis when the exit of the public investment from the bailout flagship industries might lead to the protectionism of the national 'champions' from the foreign takeovers." The survey finds FDI prospects remain bright in the agriculture and services industries, while the situation is less optimistic for the manufacturing sector. It says developed countries from North America and the European Union are the regions most affected by the crisis. Sub-Saharan Africa and North Africa are least affected. The survey shows developing countries in East and Southeast Asia are particularly attractive destinations for foreign investment. And, it notes the top five spots favored by TNC's are China, the ed States, India, Brazil, and Russia. 07/78636Experts and diplomats are predicting Japan’s recent deadly earthquake and tsunami, along with its ongoing nuclear reactor crisis, will not have too much of an effect on Japan itself in the long-term, but rather on energy policies in other countries. During a discussion Friday in Washington, they said a scaling down of nuclear energy projects could have a damaging effect on efforts to curb pollution from other energy sources. Japan’s ambassador to the ed States, Ichiro Fujisaki, said he was confident his country would eventually overcome the earthquake-borne disasters. “I do not want to prejudge the situation now, but what I can say is we are trying our best. We should overcome the situation and we will overcome the situation”他说:“虽然我不想对局势过早下结论,但是我可以说我们正在竭尽全力。我们能够,而且也一定会战胜这场灾难。”Possible chilling effect on nuclear powerEconomists predicted the situation will have little overall effect on Japan’s economy, and may actually spur stimulus spending for reconstruction projects. But an energy expert, Charles Ebinger, warned countries investing more and more in nuclear energy, may now stop those initiatives, and turn back to other energy sources. He said this could derail international efforts in terms of trying to limit potential climate change.

The flamingos and baboons here at Lake Bogoria live in harmony. They share this landscape and all it has to offer. They may not be compatible. But in the midst of Bogoria's bounty, they can afford to be indifferent. In July, after a successful breeding season, nearly four million flamingos gather along the scenes of the Great Rift Valley. They carve the inlets and crowd the local residents. The baboons who live here all year round can't help but take notice of the sheer numbers of new arrivers. Some baboons have never seen these many flamingos before, and some of them don't know how to behave. There are so many birds at Bogoria that they trip over each other in order to escape. Baboons aren't meat eaters, but this is something unusual for baboons. Choosing between fruits and flesh is a simple matter for these meat eaters.Until now, such an orchestrated attack on flamingos has rarely been witnessed or recorded. The graceful wading birds become a buffet of pink feathers and crimson flesh. The young have discovered a new taste and they like it. Myanmar's food crisis Paul Risley of the World Food Programme joins CNN to discuss widesp food shortages in Myanmar. The UN has just issued a report saying that six million people in Myanmar need food right now. How critical is the situation? It's a real paradox, because in the same year that Cyclone Nargis devastated the, what had been the "rice bowl" of Myanmar, the Irrawaddy Delta. Other areas of the country reported very satisfactory harvest. There's plenty of rice within the country. The challenge is how to get that rice to the areas of the country, the more remote areas where people simply do not have enough food for them or their families, especially hit by Nargis were the farming communities in the Delta area. We believe we will probably have to provide emergency food assistance for nearly a million people in the Delta year, in the Delta area, in this coming year. In addition to that, the Chin State, in north of Rakhine State which is the home area of the Rohingya/ people. These areas are hardest hit and are considered real hunger hotspots.Paul, will you be allowed to get to these areas and feed these desperate people? We will, we've had unprecedented cooperation from the government of Myanmar in first allowing us to do this survey that showed us where the most critical areas are. But they are also allowing both the World Food Program and non-governmental organization who we've worked with on the ground access to these very critical areas. Just last week, we were able to send our first shipment of rice and maize for people in the Chin State. The Chin State has been hit hard by a rodent infestation. It's the, are rats that are consuming the local maize crop and just last week we have begun to deliver food to the farmers and the farming communities in that area. OK, Paul, just quickly, do you think that the Rohingya refugees we've been / reporting on of, of late, that they are fleeing Myanmar because of this critical food shortage? We are very concerned by those reports. Um, the WFP team that went to Rakhine State, that traveled around, reported very high levels of malnutrition among children who lived there and large numbers of people without access to food largely because they can't afford food, because they don't have employment. There is no way for them to earn even the little money that they would need in order to purchase food. It's a great concern, / it's an area of a very large population and it's clear that many people are leaving that area. They are looking for economic advancement elsewhere, uh and in some cases, by leaving Myanmar entirely02/61715 THE WHITE HOUSEOffice of the Press SecretaryAs we continue to recover from an historic economic crisis, it is clear to everyone that one of its major causes was a breakdown in oversight that led to widesp abuses in the financial system. An epidemic of irresponsibility took hold from Wall Street to Washington to Main Street. And the consequences have been disastrous. Millions of Americans have seen their life savings erode; families have been devastated by job losses; businesses large and small have closed their doors. In response, this week, my administration proposed a set of major reforms to the rules that govern our financial system; to attack the causes of this crisis and to prevent future crises from taking place; to ensure that our markets can work fairly and freely for businesses and consumers alike. We are going to promote markets that work for those who play by the rules. We're going to stand up for a system in which fair dealing and honest competition are the only way to win. We're going to level the playing field for consumers. And we're going to have the kinds of rules that encourage innovations that make our economy stronger - not those that allow insiders to exploit its weaknesses for their own gain. And one of the most important proposals is a new oversight agency called the Consumer Financial Protection Agency. It's charged with just one job: looking out for the interests of ordinary Americans in the financial system. This is essential, for this crisis may have started on Wall Street. But its impacts have been felt by ordinary Americans who rely on credit cards, home loans, and other financial instruments. It is true that this crisis was caused in part by Americans who took on too much debt and took out loans they simply could not afford. But there are also millions of Americans who signed contracts they did not always understand offered by lenders who did not always tell the truth. Today, folks signing up for a mortgage, student loan, or credit card face a bewildering array of incomprehensible options. Companies compete not by offering better products, but more complicated ones - with more fine print and hidden terms. It's no coincidence that the lack of strong consumer protections led to abuses against consumers; the lack of rules to stop deceptive lending practices led to abuses against borrowers.
