Easter is a moment to reflect and an important time for Christians and others to gather together with families and friends. This year, after a period of intense debate over the right future for our country, there is a sense that people are coming together and uniting behind the opportunities that lie ahead. For at heart, this country is one great union of people and nations with a proud history and a bright future. And as we face the opportunities ahead of us – the opportunities that stem from our decision to leave the European Union and embrace the world – our shared interests, our shared ambitions, and above all, our shared values can, and must, bring us together. This Easter, I think of those values that we share – values that I learnt in my own childhood, growing up in a vicarage. Values of compassion, community, citizenship. The sense of obligation we have to one another. These are values we all hold in common, and values that are visibly lived out every day by Christians, as well as by people of other faiths or none. I think of those who go out of their way to visit the sick or bereaved, providing comfort and guidance to many in our country at some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I think of the sacrifices and service of aid workers who put themselves in harms way to bring much-needed relief in war-torn parts of the world. We should celebrate all these contributions and others like them, and the difference they make in our society and around the world. In doing so, we should be confident about the role that Christianity has to play in the lives of people in our country. And we should treasure the strong tradition that we have in this country of religious tolerance and freedom of speech. We must continue to ensure that people feel able to speak about their faith, and that absolutely includes their faith in Christ. We must be mindful of Christians and religious minorities around the world who do not enjoy these same freedoms, but who practise their religion in secret and often in fear. And we must do more to stand up for the freedom of people of all religions to practice their beliefs openly and in peace and safety. So this Easter, whatever our faith, let us come together as a nation confident in our values, and united in our commitment to fulfil the obligations that we have to one another. Let us work together to build that brighter future we want for our country. And let us together build a stronger, fairer Britain that truly does work for everyone. And let me wish you all a very happy Easter.201705/507034成都铸造全瓷牙多少钱 美国成语俗语教程录音 Lesson67-72暂无文本 /200606/7817成都市洁牙多少钱

Why? In an uncertain global environment, commodity prices have fallen. Many of the economies are still commodity driven, and therefore their performance has slipped. And now the issue of Brexit doesnt make it any easier. I never knew that the Brexit could happen我从没想过“英国退欧”的事情会发生and that it could be one of the things that would cause global uncertainty such as we have. So now weve got this situation, and I think its time to take stock所以现在,我们走到了这个情况,我认为这也正是时候去全面审视一番and to say what were the things that the African countries did right? What did they do wrong? How do we build on all of this and learn lessons so that we can keep Africa rising? So let me talk about six things that I think we did right. The first is managing our economies better. The 80s and 90s were the lost decades, when Africa was not doing well,80年代和90年代是迷失的二十年,当时非洲的状况不是很好,and some of you will remember an ;Economist; cover that said, ;The Lost Continent.;你们或许能想起一期《经济学人》的封面,上面写着“失落的大陆”。But in the 2000s, policymakers learned that they needed to manage the macroeconomic environment better,但是在21世纪,决策者明白到,他们需要去更好得调控宏观经济环境,to ensure stability, keep inflation low in single digits, keep their fiscal deficits low, below three percent of GDP,来确保经济稳定,抑制通货膨胀率于单位数,确保财政赤字较低低于GDP(国内生产总值)的百分之三,give investors, both domestic and foreign, some stability so theyll have confidence to invest in these economies. So that was number one.

One of your classmates asked me to give you this envelope.LH: 哪个同学呀?LL: Oh, it was... what's-her-face, you know, the tall girl with red hair.LH: 高个子、红头发的女孩儿?你还说什么- What's her face? 哎,Face不是“脸”吗?LL: I said "what's-her-face" instead of her name because I couldn't remember her name. I guess it means I can remember her face, but not her name.LH: 噢,你不记得她的名字,但是你记得她的脸长的是什么样子,所以你说what's her face, 也就相当于what's her name 。Hm,Larry, 你这么说是不是不太礼貌呢?LL: Well, it's not really rude, but it's very informal. You shouldn't call someone what's-her-face if she is nearby... in that case, you should just ask her what her name is.LH: 哎哟,幸亏你告诉我, 尽管what's-her-face是很随便的说法,但是也不应该当着那个人的面这么说。 哎,对了,Larry, 刚才你是说what's her face, 要是男孩子的话,那应该怎么说呢?LL: You would say what's-his-face.LH: 噢,要是男生,但是又记不起他的名字,那也可以说what's his face。 LL: That's right - You missed a class last Thursday. Hey wait, if you needed notes, why didn't you just ask me?LH: 但是我们觉得 - what's-her-face... um, Julia... LL: Well, come to think of it - If I were what's-her-face, er... I mean Jenny, I wouldn't want my notes either.******LH: 哎,Larry, 你手里拿的是什么东西呀?LL: This thing in my hand? Oh, it's the thingamajig I use to measure the air pressure in my car's tires.LH: LL: No no, that's not the real name of this thing. We use "thingamajig", to replace the name of an object when we don't know or can't remember its real name.LH: 噢,Thingamajig不是这个东西的名字。 是不是?LL: That's right. Actually, I think the thing in my hand is called a "tire pressure gauge". Tom asked me to help him check the air pressure of his car's tires.LH: 哎哟,Larry, 看来你对车子还挺懂的嘛!LL: Hey, I never said I'm good with cars. To me, everything under the hood of my car is just a bunch of thingamajigs.LH: I think you just need to oil these thingamajigs on your handlebars here.LH: 你肯定吗?LL: Well, if you don't believe me, you can ask what's-his-face, Jenny's boyfriend, the tall Indian guy - He can fix bikes.LH: 那个高个子的印度人,Jenny的男朋友? Let's go! 一个是what's her face, 也可以说what's his face。
