A: I hear that you are dating with Sam recently. B: Yes. But why are interested in it?是的,你怎么会感兴趣啊?A: Well, I don’t want to nose around, but you really don’t mind his past?嗯,不是我贪嘴,你真的不在乎他的过去吗?B: It’s his future but not his past that matters. After eating their food, you still have to poke your nose around and try to pry into their secrets. e.g. He is fond of nosing about for grapevine news. e.g. The detective was nosing around in the crowd, looking for pickpockets. e.g. Youve been nosing around for some cheap accusation for months and now you think you have it. 感兴趣e.g. He was not interested in her stage career. e.g. He may arrive on time if he is interested in the match. date with:和…..约会e.g. He would be y now to keep a date with some girlfriend. e.g. Karen has a date with Paul on Friday. A:If you attend a social function, it is always advisable to have something up your sleeve, in case you are called upon to speak at short notice. B:Irsquo;m used to being invisible. Nobody will notice me. Anyway, thank you. If I had stopped to think, Irsquo;d have known you had a lone hand up your sleeve. Keep your plans up your sleeve and put your points across in random order so that your opponent is left guessing where yoursquo;re going till the very end.

How dare you! 或是 “I double dare you.” 2. Dont push me around. 通常当我讲 “Dont push me around.” 例如,“You are so bossy. I dont like that.” 或是 “Dont push me any further.” 例如, “I know why you are doing this, someone is pushing your button!” 3. Are you raised in the barn? 老美常用barn或是backyard 来形容一个人没有教养或是没有文化, 像是那天在电视上听到一句,“No backyard language in my house.” 4. You want to step outside? You want to take this outside? 还有一些我听过类似的用法, 例如, “Do you want to pick a fight?” 或是 “This means war.” 5. You and what army? You and who else? 要是有人跟你说 “Do you want to step outside?”, 就回他这一句吧。 还有一句话也很好玩, 叫 “Whos side are you on?”
